Special Event at Boswell Book Company

Once again, Boswell Book Company is hosting a book reading to benefit Literacy Services!

On Tuesday, August 23, 7:00 pm, author Michael Bowen will read excerpts of his latest novel, DAMAGE CONTROL. Royalties from purchases of the new novel will go to support a spectrum of programs at Literacy Services of Wisconsin.

Michael Bowen is a strong supporter of literacy. To him, it simply makes sense that authors would be supporting organizations that help people learn to read. Ginger Duiven, Executive Director at Literacy Services expounds, "Michael Bowen has been a friend of Literacy Services for many years. We were honored when he offered to make his book reading at Boswell Books a fundraising event for literacy."

DAMAGE CONTROL by Michael Bowen is an acerbic, wickedly funny thriller about the kind of white-collar crime that could only happen inside Washington, D.C.'s I-495 Beltway. And in the person of the clever, spunky and sexy Josie Kendall, Bowen has unleashed one of the most irresistible heroines to appear on the contemporary mystery scene in many a moon.

"Harvard lawyer Bowen, a passionate political junkie, takes readers on a roller-coaster ride through D.C.'s underbelly. Those who love House of Cards, and anyone following the current presidential campaign, will eagerly turn these pages." -Booklist

Michael Bowen is a graduate of Harvard Law School and a retired trial lawyer who lives in Wisconsin. He has written five critically acclaimed political mysteries set in Washington, D.C.
